Watermelon: Could it be A Cheap Natural Viagra?

Yes, don’t be surprised! Researches have shown that watermelon is rich with an amino acid called citrulline, which helps relaxe blood vessels improving blood flow to the heart, penis and throughout the body in general. This is essentially what Viagra and other erectile dysfunction (ED) drugs do.
The big question now is: how much watermelon is equivalent to one Viagra pill?
If that amount costs lower than $10 USD (the normal price of one “brand” Viagra pill), then watermelon could be a cheap, natural alternative to Viagra and it may become men’s favorite diet food. It helps that 92% of watermelon’s content is water (that’s why it’s called “watermelon”), also two cups of watermelon have only about 100 calories, and in addition to that it has low fat and no cholesterol.
But scientists don’t know yet how much watermelon you’ll need to get effective results in treating erectile dysfunction. Researches are yet to provide a definitive answer on whether watermelon could be an effective natural alternative to ED prescription drugs or not.
On the other hand, some scientists and experts think that it’s ridiculous to say that watermelon is a “natural Viagra”. They argue that even if watermelon could help treat ED, it’d require a lot of watermelon to do so which is not a practical solution to the problem.
